{"id":24092,"date":"2021-11-02T09:46:53","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T08:46:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=24092"},"modified":"2021-11-02T12:10:23","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T11:10:23","slug":"no-backing-down-from-open-balkan-rama-to-travel-to-belgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/no-backing-down-from-open-balkan-rama-to-travel-to-belgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cNo backing down from Open Balkan\u201d, Rama to travel to Belgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Edi Rama will be heading to Belgrade on Wednesday in line with the agenda of the Open Balkans due on November 3 and 4.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister\u2019s press office confirmed for Euronews Albania that there are no changes in terms of tomorrow\u2019s event, despite the resignation of North Macedonia\u2019s premier Zoran Zaev.<\/p>\n<p>A government representative is expected to attend instead of Zaev.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic posted a status on Facebook which led to some doubt on whether the planned meeting in Belgrade would even take place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrong support for Open Balkan. Should we meet or have the meeting in Belgrade postponed in light of recent developments in Skopje?\u201d, asked Vucic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/balkans\/2021\/09\/14\/open-balkan-how-it-came-to-fruition-and-where-its-heading\/\">\u201cOpen Balkan\u201d<\/a> came to life as an initiative from Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
