Around 1.2 million eligible voters will head to the polling stations to cast their ballot for mayoral leaders in 21 municipalities.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also seen outside the premises of the Law Faculty in Prishtina after exercising his voting right.<\/p>\n
Kurti declared in front of reporters that Kosovo is \u201cclosing in on a successful electoral year\u201d.<\/p>\n
He also assured that all state mechanisms have been mobilized to guarantee that the process is carried rightfully.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe weather is beautiful so massive participation is expected. State mechanisms will make sure that the process goes smoothly, in full respect of the law and enforcement of the rules. Today, on November 14, we can say that we closed in on a successful and good electoral year [\u2026] Kosovo has proved to be a democratic country where the rights of the citizens are duly respected, and where citizens can decide in a free and fair way those who will subsequently decide for them\u201d, said Kurti.<\/p>\n
Asked on whether he intends to endorse all racing candidates, regardless of the party\u2019s banner, the head of the executive responded that \u201ccitizens will have their say today\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe campaign closed yesterday at 7 AM, yesterday we had electoral silence. Today, the citizens will speak\u201d.<\/p>\n
