On the 77th Anniversary of Liberation Day, it wasn\u2019t only state leaders and war veterans who paid their tributes to those fallen during World War II. Supporters of Albania\u2019s communist dictator Enver Hoxha also showed up at the National Martyrs Cemetery holding banners and playing Communist-themed songs.<\/p>\n
Their march however was halted by the National Guard, at least until the official state ceremony wrapped up.<\/p>\n
Enver Hoxha nostalgics are present whenever there are ceremonies or commemorative dates of the National Liberation War.<\/p>\n
On this same day in 2014, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was caught up in public controversy and broadly criticized after images of him with pictures of Enver Hoxha held up by Communist supporters lined up behind him made the round on social media.<\/p>\n
Although few in numbers, old age, bad weather, nor warnings about a potential law prohibiting Communist propagation have stopped Enver Hoxha\u2019s melancholics from attending similar ceremonies.<\/p>\n
