Selami emphasized that the party can\u2019t be reformed with Berisha.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy opinion is that the debate came quite late for the DP. Berisha has been the disgrace of that party, who even after being publicly designated, continues with his efforts to hold;d\u00a0 the DP hostage\u201d, said Selami. \u201cAny scenario with Berisha showing as the reformist is impossible. This is a closed chapter, Berisha is the past\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>According to Selami, the current leader of the DP should have launched this debate a long time ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would have wanted to see Basha start this debate much earlier, but he proved not to be a natural leader of the Democratic Party, but somebody Berisha chose for his bad days\u201d, said Selami.<\/p>\n<p>The former DP leader suggested that Lulzim Basha will manage to survive following the clash with Sali Berisha.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he might survive because there the whole party is organized around one man. It\u2019s like those fortresses, and Saliu has placed him there. But this is not the core issue and this is not what we should expect from the Democratic Party as the main political force.
