During a statement for the press, Lulzim Basha said that on December 18\u2019th National Assembly, Democrats made several decisions to \u2018clean up the party off of crime and corruption present within’.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn December 18, we moved forward towards a Democratic Party that had gotten rid of its past, as well as crime and corruption present amongst ourselves,\u201d \u2013 he said.<\/p>\n

In addition, he said that former PM Berisha \u2018has lied\u2019 about the reasons why the United States declared him persona non-grata.<\/p>\n

\u201cSali Berisha lied to us and wanted to make a fool out of all of us through his ridiculous lies and fabrications about the reasons why he was declared non-grata by the United States \u2013 at a time when the motivation was and continues to be clear for anyone, who doesn\u2019t accept being lied to,\u201d \u2013 he added.<\/p>\n

Basha told Democrats that Berisha is continuing to lie to them to this day, by using them \u2018as bate for his personal deals and bargains\u2019.<\/p>\n

DP\u2019s chair also called Berisha\u2019s referendum to dismiss him from his current role as party leader, a \u2018mere fabrication\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cBerisha has also lied to you about the so-called referendum, during which he was the one to make the lists, he was the one to do the counting, add the voters to whatever number he had predetermined,\u201d \u2013 said Basha.<\/p>\n

In regards to tomorrow\u2019s protest called by Sali Berisha, Basha said that this protest is an attack against the Democratic Party, Democrats and the United States.<\/p>\n

Berisha and the camp of Democrats who have sided with him, have called a protest march that will take place tomorrow on January 8, in front of DP\u2019s headquarters, whose aim will be \u2018regaining control of DP and once again, turning it to the home of freedom\u2019.<\/p>\n

This protest comes after Berisha\u2019s ultimatum for Basha to leave office by January 5, which was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
