Construction on the Blue Corridor \u2013 or the highway connecting Albania with Greece on the south and with Croatia on the north \u2013 is set to begin work soon.<\/p>\n

The project is not entirely new as it was interrupted for two years due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure minister, Belinda Balluku, announced that a deal has been reached with her Greek homolog, allowing construction sites to be opened simultaneously in both countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, this is the right time to start over this project, but it is also the moment when Greece will begin work on its part, which connects the Ionian highway – from its exit point in Ioannina – with the Kakavija border crossing\u201d, said Balluku.<\/p>\n
