At the main ticket vendor selling transit passes for the Tirana-Kamez route, citizens had to line up for up to 3 hours in order to get their passes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been here for the past 2-3 hours,\u201d \u2013 said a citizen, as several others complained about having to miss work due to the long lines.<\/p>\n<p>These large gatherings are taking place at a time when new COVID cases are at their highest in months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been waiting since 10:00 a.m. this morning. No police officers have shown up to at least keep things under control. COVID is on every corner and we probably contracted it today,\u201d \u2013 said another citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Similar concerns were expressed at ticket vendors all over the capital city.<\/p>\n<p>Tirana\u2019s Municipality has been contacted but an official reaction has yet to be released.
