{"id":31571,"date":"2022-02-16T12:33:53","date_gmt":"2022-02-16T11:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=31571"},"modified":"2022-02-16T12:37:08","modified_gmt":"2022-02-16T11:37:08","slug":"around-30-of-albanian-children-suffering-from-cancer-died-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/around-30-of-albanian-children-suffering-from-cancer-died-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Around 30% of Albanian children suffering from cancer died in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>29% of Albanian children suffering from cancer passed away during 2020, according to a recent report by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euro.who.int\/en\">WHO Europe.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In total, over 100 children \u2013 ages 0-19 \u2013 were diagnosed with cancer in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>WHO\u2019s Regional Europe Office ranked Albania in 6<sup>th<\/sup> place, out of 48 countries in Europe and Central Asia, when it comes to the mortality rate as a result of cancer.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison to other countries in the region, Montenegro is at the same level as Albania \u2013 with an incidence rate of 3.8.
