The Parliament of Kosovo held a special session in celebration of the country\u2019s 14th<\/sup> Independence Day.<\/p>\n

President Vjosa Osmani declared that the people of Kosovo fought hard to gain freedom, while also thanking the country\u2019s allies for their part in achieving that.<\/p>\n

Osmani vowed to \u2018never stop\u2019 until Kosovo becomes the state dreamed by those who fell for the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstitutions act to guarantee that we won\u2019t allow our territorial integrity and judicial order to be undermined”, said Osmani.<\/p>\n

“We have a lot in common with Europe, but nothing can divide us. In this path, we need to watch out for our liberty, independence, and democracy\u201d, she added.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the perspective of the Republic of Kosovo is to join Euro-Atlantic institutions.<\/p>\n

He reiterated that the proclamation of independence was the result of the liberation war and of a just cause for self-determination.<\/p>\n

\u201cEurope is where we belong, while NATO is a condition for peace for all of us\u201d, Kurti said.<\/p>\n

Earlier during the day, President Osmani and PM Kurti attended an official ceremony to celebrate the country’s 14th anniversary.<\/p>\n
