Renowned film director Robert Budina accused the ministry of culture<\/a><\/strong> of ruining our national heritage.<\/p>\n

During his interview on Euronews Albania\u2019s Good Morning<\/a><\/strong>, Budina commented on the ministry\u2019s decision to demolish the National Theater building.<\/p>\n

According to Budina, the ministry along with the National Institute of Monuments<\/a><\/strong> didn\u2019t defend the building but rather became collaborators in collecting all the necessary paperwork that would later justify the destruction of a monument belonging to our cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are promoting these actions as progress and upkeep for our national heritage, but this is just a fa\u00e7ade that justifies the very destruction of our heritage,\u201d \u2013 he said, while referring to all the recent state-ordered reconstruction projects.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, architect Doriana Musai said that our cultural projects are characterized by a complete lack of transparency as there is no fair race or regular procurement procedures.<\/p>\n
