Oksana Panteleimonova lives in the Western part of the country, but despite being on the other side of the conflict, she describes the experience as traumatic.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first thing I feel is a state of shock. I can\u2019t believe that a world war is part of my existence at the moment. The first thing that comes to mind is the safety of my family and relatives\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n
Her friends who live in the areas where massive shelling took place are finding shelters in subway stations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have friends in different regions, including in Kyiv. The situation is quite alarming. Many have gone to subway stations to find shelter\u201d, she added.<\/p>\n
Kseniia Gulomalieva, another young woman from Ukraine, shares the same fear.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re all in a state of shock. I live in Lviv, around 60 kilometers away from the shelling. It\u2019s a shocking situation. In the eastern part of the country, there\u2019s been massive shelling. A lot of people took cover in bomb shelters, while some others fled to the West\u201d.<\/p>\n
