Mamuka Mamulashvili, a commander of the Legion of Foreign Volunteers in Ukraine, says that so far there are only two Albanians that have joined the fight against Russia.<\/p>\n
In an interview for Euronews Albania, he says they are expecting around 30 Albanians who had applied to join the war through social media.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are two Albanian volunteers fighting with us. They came here to help Ukrainians defend their country. They arrived after the conflict broke out. There have been some 20-30 applications from Albania, but they haven\u2019t arrived, yet\u201d.<\/p>\n
The commander of the Legion of Foreign Volunteers says that none of the volunteers is on a payroll, but they all reached out to fight for democracy and defend Ukraine from the Russian genocide.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Russians are intentionally slaughtering women and children\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
He said that there have been no casualties from his group although they\u2019ve been shelled dozens of times.<\/p>\n
Mamulashvili claims Russia is using ballistic missiles and targeting civilian areas.<\/p>\n
