In order to allow ethnic Serbs living in Kosovo to participate in Serbia’s elections, there needs to be an agreement beforehand, between governments of both countries.<\/p>\n

This is what Kosovo\u2019s PM Albin Kurti said during a virtual meeting with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

Kosovo\u2019s PM also told the diplomatic troupe that \u201cwe don\u2019t want to take away our dual-citizenship citizens\u2019 right to vote, but at the same time, we can\u2019t act in contradiction with our country\u2019s legislation and constitutionality\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kurti has been having an ongoing interaction with representatives of quint states.<\/p>\n

Serbian president Alexandar Vucic said on Monday during a pre-electoral activity that the \u201cKurti administration wants Serbia to recognize Kosovo\u2019s independence in exchange for allowing these elections to take place in Kosovo as well\u201d.<\/p>\n

On January 15, Kosovo\u2019s Parliament adopted a resolution through which voting in a foreign election was rendered impossible.<\/p>\n

Quint member states and the EU didn\u2019t receive this decision well.<\/p>\n

2 months later, on March 15, Kurti said that he is working on finding a solution for Serbs in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
