Serbian president Alexandar Vucic declared that his country will never forget NATO\u2019s bombing, which took place exactly 23 years ago.<\/p>\n

During a commemorating ceremony in Kraljeve, Vucic said that there won\u2019t be any talks between him and NATO because \u201cit is still the only entity that can guarantee the security of Serbs living in Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n

This Thursday, Serbia remembered the victims of NATO\u2019s bombings against the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which started on March 24, 1999 and according to Serb authorities, thousands of citizens died as a result.<\/p>\n

The Serbian government organized an event to commemorate the victims, which it calls the NATO Aggression Victims Day, at the main square of Kraljevo.<\/p>\n

\u201c23 years ago, NATO started a brutal attack, horrible and unforgivable attack against a small country that had never invaded another nation. We remember these victims and we will never forget what NATO did to our country and our people,\u201d \u2013 declared Alexandar Vucic during an event.<\/p>\n

NATO\u2019s airstrike attacks against Serbia led to around 2.500 victims, and 12.500 injured.<\/p>\n

The city of Kraljevo was bombed for about 54 days and over 600 shells were dropped.<\/p>\n

Despite the high number of causalities, NATO\u2019s intervention in Serbia is seen as the only reason why the Kosovo War \u2013 where thousands of soldiers and civilians were killed by Serbian forces \u2013 could finally come to an end.<\/p>\n
