I learned about Albania when I was in Italy, my friends told me about it. I\u2019ve been here for 8 months. It\u2019s a beautiful place and I see a lot of opportunities. It has California\u2019s climate, with hot summers and plenty of olive trees\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>While discussing fiscal facilities that foreigners have in Albania, Brandon also touched upon the widespread phenomenon of Albanian young people fleeing their country.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, they should invest and work in their country as it offers great opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first I came as a visitor, but I saw a lot of space for investments. So I thought why not produce here? So when I came here I asked my friends who wants to sell their land, and where\u2019s the good food at and they introduced me to Spiro. I want to try and grow organic food like corn, watermelon, tomatoes and then export it\u201d, explains Brandon.<\/p>\n<p>For Spiro Balliu, a farmer from Beshisht, cooperating with a foreigner is a great chance, especially in times of hardships triggered by inflated prices and state negligence.<\/p>\n<p>But Brandon isn\u2019t the only foreigner investing in Beshisht.
