{"id":34102,"date":"2022-04-08T19:05:40","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T17:05:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=34102"},"modified":"2022-04-08T19:10:17","modified_gmt":"2022-04-08T17:10:17","slug":"kurti-meets-lajcak-serbia-has-2-weeks-for-the-license-plates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/kurti-meets-lajcak-serbia-has-2-weeks-for-the-license-plates\/","title":{"rendered":"Kurti meets Lajcak: Serbia has 2 weeks for the license plates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In line with the Delphi Economic Forum, Prime Minister Albin Kurti met on Friday with the EU Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was mainly about the progress achieved so far in the talks, as well as necessary steps to be taken in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Kurti stressed that the government of Kosovo is committed to a dialogue based on principles, and fruitful to the people on both sides of the border.<\/p>\n<p>Another pressing issue discussed by Kurti and Lajcak was that of license plates.<\/p>\n<p>Kurti recalled that the countries must reach a deal on the issue in two weeks, based on current European Union standards and best practices.<\/p>\n<p>The delegations of Kosovo and Serbia have met 7 times so far, but have yet to find a common language on the license plates issue.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the agreement reached in Brussels, starting last October, stickers were placed on the license plates of cars registered in Kosovo and Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>This measure is expected to last six months until a permanent solution is found<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In line with the Delphi Economic Forum, Prime Minister Albin Kurti met on Friday with the EU Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
