Albania has lost 20 spots in this year\u2019s annual Press Freedom Index published on May 3, which is World Press Freedom Day.<\/p>\n

The latest report published by the organization \u2018Reporters Without Brooders\u2019 has ranked our country 103rd<\/sup> out of 180 countries \u2013 with North Korea being last.<\/p>\n

Albania was also part of the list of countries where state authorities have intensified the laws against journalists.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s index ranked Kosovo 61st<\/sup>, taking it up 17 spots since last year\u2019s 2021 report.<\/p>\n

Countries like North Macedonia, Serbia, and Montenegro have also improved on their ranking whereas Nordic countries like Norway, Denmark, and Sweden were respectively 1st<\/sup>, 2nd,<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> on the list \u2013 followed by Estonia, Finland, and Ireland wrapping up the top 6.<\/p>\n
