{"id":35769,"date":"2022-05-05T17:09:12","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T15:09:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=35769"},"modified":"2022-05-05T17:10:30","modified_gmt":"2022-05-05T15:10:30","slug":"state-and-municipalities-have-e110-million-in-outstanding-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/state-and-municipalities-have-e110-million-in-outstanding-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"State and municipalities accumulate \u20ac110 million in outstanding fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The state budget and municipalities continue to accumulate outstanding fees from businesses and individuals.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of last year, the total amount of unpaid debt from public institutions reached \u20ac110 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>The majority belongs to the local government, which owes a total of \u20ac55 million euros to third parties.<\/p>\n<p>The municipality of Kavaja owes the most debt, namely 6.8 million euros, followed by Tirana, with 5.4 million euros and Vora with 4.2 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>The only municipality which hasn\u2019t accumulated any debt is Korca.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, ministries have a total accumulated debt of 50 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of this debt belongs to the executive boards that need to pay reparations for unfair terminations.<\/p>\n<p>Only this sector makes up for 26 million euros of unpaid debt.<\/p>\n<p>The Water Supply firm has accumulated 4.7 million euros of debt in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>These outstanding fees don\u2019t include what Albania owes to the Arbitrage Courts, which makes up for over \u20ac206 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>This brings our national debt from 73.1% to 74.4% of our domestic GDP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The state budget and municipalities continue to accumulate outstanding fees from businesses and individuals.
