It\u2019s been 15 months since the four ex-commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army were sent to a pre-trial detention prison at The Hague.<\/p>\n
Last weekend, Baton Haxhiu went to Hague to visit Kadri Veseli and Hashim Thaci.<\/p>\n
Haxhiu said their trial might commence in October, adding that the pre-trial has been prolonged more than necessary.<\/p>\n
“The length of the start of this trial is the longest so far at the International Court of Justice in The Hague,” he said.<\/p>\n
He also questioned why the former commanders were not being tried in Kosovo, or at least in another third country.<\/p>\n
Replying to that statement Andi Bushati asked how fair is this is justice that internationals are trying to introduce.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat about this justice that kept Veseli and Thaci in prison for a year and a half; is this necessarily rightful? Was Kosovo right in voting for the Specialist Chambers in parliament? Did we do the right thing when we blindly voted for our justice reform?\u201d, said Bushati.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis court, alike our justice reform, has patrons in the EU and the Department of State\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n
