An elevator incident that left a patient trapped in the elevator of Mother Theresa hospital on Monday, has brought back safety concerns.<\/p>\n

Euronews Albania journalist Xhensila Nako spoke to the residents of the Astir neighborhood in Tirana, where another elevator-related malfunction in September left two people seriously injured<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They said that the recent incident awakened feelings, however many said that they still have to use it on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Residents said that they pay a monthly maintenance fee, but do not know whether there are safety inspections carried out as they have experienced many cases where the elevator has not functioned properly.<\/p>\n

One of the supervisors of the building we spoke to said that although malfunctions tend to happen, they respond to the complaints of the tenants within 5 days.<\/p>\n
