{"id":38644,"date":"2022-06-20T16:41:50","date_gmt":"2022-06-20T14:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=38644"},"modified":"2022-06-20T16:41:50","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T14:41:50","slug":"minister-balluku-tirana-prishtina-railway-ready-in-4-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/minister-balluku-tirana-prishtina-railway-ready-in-4-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Balluku: Tirana-Prishtina railway ready in 4 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During their joint government meeting, the government of Albania and Kosovo signed several cooperation agreements.<\/p>\n<p>The minister of infrastructure and energy, Belinda Balluku told Euronews Albania that the most important one of these agreements will be the one involving a project for the construction of a railway connecting both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of a Tirana-Prishtina railway will create the possibility for Albania to grant Kosovo access into the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a project that not only connects both countries through a railway but it also brings together two ports, the port of Durres and the dry port of Prishtina. It is a very modern concept when it comes to trade and one that has been applied in many developed countries,\u201d \u2013 said the minister of infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Balluku also stated that there is currently an open race and it remains to be seen who will have the winning project proposal.
