{"id":41212,"date":"2022-09-13T13:20:44","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T11:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=41212"},"modified":"2022-09-13T13:35:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T11:35:45","slug":"average-salary-up-by-7-percent-bankers-remain-the-highest-paid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/average-salary-up-by-7-percent-bankers-remain-the-highest-paid\/","title":{"rendered":"Average salary up by 7 percent, bankers remain the highest paid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About 10 thousand people were employed during the second quarter of the year.<\/p>\n<p>According to data published by INSTAT, employment increased by 1.4 percent compared to the first quarter of the year and by 4.3 percent compared to the second quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The growth was led by the industry sector with 7.1 percent more than last year, agriculture with about 5 percent more, and the service sector with 2 percent more than the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>The unemployment rate climbed down to 11.1 percent, from 11.4 percent in the first quarter of the year. 10.5 percent of capable adults were classified under &#8216;discouraged and unemployed&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>INSTAT also reported that during the second quarter of the year, employers have generally indexed inflation for their employees. The average monthly gross salary increased by 7 percent, reaching around 60 thousand LEK, or 2500 LEK more than the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The period coincides with the government&#8217;s first anti-crisis package, which established a fund of 6.1 billion LEK as financial aid for the needy and the sectors most affected by the increase in oil prices.<\/p>\n<p>The highest-paid jobs remain in the financial sector, banks, funds, and insurance firms.
