The British authorities have “destroyed” an Albanian criminal gang that would operate by sending people from Spain to the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

It is believed that immigrants have paid between 3,000-15,000 euros to move from one country to another.<\/p>\n

British authorities have arrested seven people during the week, reports Radio Free Europe.<\/p>\n

Officials from the National Crimes Agency, based in Spain and the United Kingdom, have been working with Spanish authorities on the case.<\/p>\n

The gang smuggled mostly Albanians through the Spanish cities of Bilbao and Santander to the United Kingdom, using boats and other means of transport en route to the cities of Portsmouth, Southampton and Liverpool.<\/p>\n

British and Spanish authorities have identified 50 people who have crossed into the UK with the gang’s help, but the National Crime Agency has said the exact figure is not yet known.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
