Engineer Arben Mece says that there is still enough space in the capital to build other multi-story towers.<\/p>\n
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Mece said that urban planning shows the social, economic, but also political development of a country.<\/p>\n
According to him, the construction of multi-story towers shows that Albania is entering a new stage of development.<\/p>\n
“There is still more room. Urban planning is the first indicator of the social, political and economic progress of a country. It is the indicator through which we read what development our country has at this moment, what social, political, economic development. We are in another moment of economic, political and social development in our country. The development of high-rise buildings shows that we are entering a new stage. For the first time we see a real form of capitalism”, he argued.<\/p>\n
The value of construction permits granted in Tirana over the 2 years \u2013 2020 and 2021 \u2013 amounts to around 800 million euros.<\/p>\n
327 million euros is the value of those granted in 2020 and about 470 million euros of permits granted in 2021.<\/p>\n
600 million euros is the estimated amount of investment for multi-story buildings, both for housing and for hotels, shopping centers or other business activities.<\/p>\n
