Gerti Bogdani responds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gerti Bogdani, former MP of the Democratic Party, candidate for the primaries to be declared the opposition&#8217;s candidate for mayor of Tirana, commented on the race within the DP, where, apart from him, only Belind Kellici has been confirmed so far.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview for Euronews Albania, when asked if Kelli\u00e7i is more favored in this race, since he was closer to the party chair Sali Berisha during this year, he said that the contribution to the party is not measured by one year but by the long-term continuity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It has nothing to do with it, plus Berisha has made it clear that all candidates are equal in the race. It is not possible to see only the last year, since the history of the transition is 30 years old and on the other hand it is the membership that will vote and select the candidate. This is one of the innovations brought by Berisha and it is an innovation that brings out a stronger candidate because it is different when you only have the nomination from the presidency and different when you have the support of the entire membership and the responsibility and accountability is greater.
