The Head of Foreign Policy in the European Union, Josep Borrell, has condemned the burning of cars in the north of Kosovo, belonging to Kosovo Serbs who have converted their Serbian license plates to ones bearing the acronym of the Republic of Kosovo: RKS.<\/p>\n
But according to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, this reaction came after the request he had made previously to Borrell.<\/p>\n
“I asked Borrell to condemn the burning of cars in the north of Kosovo. This was done by criminals who are organized in different structures, but what all these structures have in common is that Belgrade directs and finances them,” Kurti told the Serbian media following the Western Balkans Summit held in Berlin.<\/p>\n
“We want peace and security for all citizens and the state of the Republic of Kosovo is an independent state that implements the rule of law and its own Constitution. But we know full well that north of the border is Serbia, where there’s a clear lack of both democracy and pro-European values \u200b\u200bbecause Belgrade has evidently taken the side of the Kremlin and President Putin, who has undertaken the terrible attack on Ukraine,” he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
