The tourist season was extended beyond the month of August this year. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to INSTAT data, there was an increase in visitors in September as well. There are 110 thousand domestic and foreign visitors who came to Albania during this month, 35 thousand more than the same month last year. <\/span><\/p>\n

Foreign tourists contributed to this increase, while overnight stays for locals increased by only 0.8 percent. Despite the increase in tourists and overnight stays, the bed occupancy rate of hotels and accommodation units increased by only 1 %, showing that from September 2021 to September 2022, hotels and accommodation units with new capacities were built with 30 thousand rooms. <\/span><\/p>\n

As for foreigners, Kosovo Albanians are at the top of the list with about 11 thousand, followed by Italians with almost 9 percent and then Poles.<\/span><\/p>\n
