The Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, stated that the recommendations of the European Parliament for Serbia also required mutual recognition with Kosovo. <\/span><\/p>\n

He said that he is not worried by the recommendations and that Serbia is not interested in recognizing Kosovo, reports Tanjug. <\/span><\/p>\n

“It is not only about sanctions. I know that there is a part of the public that would like to discipline the president and the government and explain to us that we need to urgently impose sanctions because it is in the best interest of our country. While everything else is a bad policy for Serbia that will leave us without a path to the EU. But they skipped the part that said we should recognize Kosovo as independent, so I’m looking for all those people who want to talk to us about someone’s good intentions. why are they hiding this”, emphasized Vucic. <\/span><\/p>\n

“A part of the political and media opinion is hiding this from the general public because otherwise, it would be clear what such MEPs really wanted from Serbia and the attitude of Serbia and its state leadership would be better understood. That’s why it should be hidden,” he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about the sanctions against Russia, Vucic underlined that Serbia knows how to make decisions on its own and that it understands the needs of its own citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n
