The mother of one of the wounded has spoken to the Serbian media where she says that the suspect did not shoot at individuals but at the ground. He was a member of the security forces of Kosovo. The suspect declared before the court that he did it in self-defense and did not shoot at the wounded. He was on his way to Brezovica when a group of people stopped him with a car and attacked and insulted him.
