Last year we closed with 286 births. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">It is the lowest number we have had in the last 20-30 years. We think that two years ago we had about 350 births, in addition to other years that we reached 700-800 births per year,&#8221; said Migena Kuro, head of the service. Among the main causes for the low number of births is mass emigration, as well as the demographic movement from Gjirokastra towards other areas of the country. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\"> &#8220;The majority of women are in Tepel\u00ebn, P\u00ebrmet and the rural areas of these cities compared to the rural area of \u200b\u200bGjirokastra and the city of Gjirokastra.
