Meta answers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has dismissed the hints that he may be sanctioned by the US, if he forms a coalition with former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who has been declared &#8220;non grata&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In a press conference, Meta stated that something like this is not true and added that his relations with the US remain open and principled.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, Meta underlined that the US is interested in an opposition that is as powerful as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is zero truth to this, for the reason that my relations with the USA have been and are always very open and principled. I have no intention and never had to influence their decisions.
