Almost 50% of children in Albania have problems with their teeth. Dentists refer that low care for oral hygiene and the consumption of sugary products has influenced the decay of children’s teeth.<\/p>\n

In order to minimize problems with teeth, in some regions of the country, dental cabinets have started operating in schools and 2 clinics have also been made available to rural areas.<\/p>\n

Adults also have dental problems. Since the dental service has a relatively high cost in private clinics, some services are provided free of charge at the University Dental Clinic.<\/p>\n

According to the World Health Organization, the constant lack of dental care has led to the loss of teeth in 34% of the population over 60 years of age.<\/p>\n
