Data from INSTAT show that dairy products, fish, meat and vegetables in April were up to 15% more expensive than April last year.<\/p>\n
For dairy products, operators say they face high packaging costs and staff shortages. Even the price of meat is related to the difficulties that livestock farmers in the country are going through.<\/p>\n
Families are also facing high prices of fruits and vegetables, some of which are being sold expensively, even though they are seasonal products.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile cereals, bread and sugar had a more moderate growth in April, with an average inflation level of 5.3%.<\/p>\n
Albania is entering a downward trajectory of inflation since November. Today it is recorded at 4.6% for all goods, compared to the peak of 8.3% in October.<\/p>\n
