It is important to clearly understand the sequence of steps to be taken, so we had an important discussion on all aspects. I\u2019ll have the same discussions tomorrow in Belgrade,\u201d Laj\u010d\u00e1k told journalists after the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The European mediator also said he will visit the north of Kosovo, as he wants to closely observe the situation there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI truly hope there is a political solution that will allow us all to focus on the normalization and the implementation of the agreement,\u201d Laj\u010d\u00e1k said.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about the Croatian model for the Association, which the Government of Kosovo insists on, Laj\u010d\u00e1k said that what is acceptable to the European Union is something \u201cthat is based on European norms and values, according to existing models\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have said it since the start. I won\u2019t comment more on that. I think I\u2019m very clear,\u201d said the representative.<\/p>\n<p>Laj\u010d\u00e1k announced he will be meeting with the chief negotiators of both countries in the dialogue, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The latest round of high-level negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia was held on May 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, in Brussel. Parties agreed on a Declaration for the Forcibly Missing Persons from the last war in Kosovo, but failed to agree on the draft statute of the Association of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo.
