The EU Special Representative for the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 this Friday.<\/p>\n

After their discussions, the Serbian president said he had spoken to the diplomat about his concerns over the situation in Kosovo, especially in the north.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told the European mediator that my concern stems from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti\u2019s needs to provoke incidents and conflicts,\u201d Vu\u010di\u0107 said.<\/p>\n

In a message on his Instagram account, the Serbian president added that the meeting was focused in the creation of the Association of Serb Municipalities, which serves as a precondition for Serbia to continue negotiating with Kosovo.<\/p>\n

Laj\u010d\u00e1k was in Pristina yesterday, where he met with PM Kurti and also made a trip to North Mitrovica. The purpose of the visit in the north was to get \u201cfirst-hand information from the people living there and see how they regard the situation\u201d.<\/p>\n

The European diplomat visited both countries to monitor what has already been agreed in previous high-level meetings and to discuss further steps in the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.<\/p>\n

On May 15th<\/sup>, Laj\u010d\u00e1k will meet the two chief negotiators in Brussel, Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovi\u0107.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
