Thousands of people took to the streets of Belgrade on Friday to protest under the slogan “Serbia against violence”.<\/p>\n
The protest was organized by the opposition parties of Serbia, writes REL.<\/p>\n
The reason for organizing the protest in Belgrade is the disappointment with the reaction of the authorities, after two mass murders that took place in Serbia in May, in which 18 people were killed.<\/p>\n
After the initial organization, in front of the Parliament of Serbia, the protesters started walking through the streets.<\/p>\n
They were heard shouting “Vucic, give up”, and “Vucic, leave”.<\/p>\n
The same calls were heard in front of the building of the Government of Serbia, where protests were also held.<\/p>\n
One day before the protest, the Serbian Parliament started discussions about the security situation in the country, and the causes that led to the two murders.<\/p>\n
Among the other demands was the resignation of the Minister of Police, Bratislav Gashi\u010d, and the director of the Information and Security Agency (BIA), Aleksandar Vulin.<\/p>\n
After the tragedy that happened in the “Vladislav Ribnikar” elementary school, Branko Ruzhi\u010d has resigned from the position of Minister of Education.<\/p>\n
On May 3, a 13-year-old student killed eight students and a security guard, and injured six other students and a teacher.<\/p>\n
