If only the coalition alone would have 41 deputies and I would be elected prime minister, I would sign the decision with the greatest honor, even if it were the last in my life,\u201d declared Kne\u017eevi\u0107, participating in an \u201cacademic\u201d panel entitled \u201cMontenegro and the recognition of the fake state of Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Kne\u017eevi\u0107 however, admitted that \u201cit is politically profitable to remain silent about Kosovo and accept other people\u2019s views as your own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was the first person to be visited by Serbia\u2019s President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 on the day the new president of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovi\u0107 was sworn in.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the Montenegrin parliamentary elections, the U.S. envoy to the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar warned that there is a risk of Russian interference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRest assured that they will try to use all methods to try to divert Montenegro from its European path. Therefore, yes, I am concerned about the elections not only in Montenegro but also in the region,\u201d said Escobar in an interview to local media.<\/p>\n<p>Escobar also declared that \u201cwhoever keeps Montenegro in its European path, is committed to the NATO membership and is an ally in the fight against corruption, can expect the support of the United States\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This is why Escobar praised former president Milo \u0110ukanovi\u0107, who according to him, led Montenegro through a very good path through national independence, NATO membership and affirmation of the country\u2019s EU membership, expressing his faith that the citizens will vote to stay in the same lane.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Montenegrin citizens will head to polls on the June 11th parliamentary elections and politicians are seeking support through various rhetoric.
