Government has approved the decision to distribute over 1 million euros available to religious communities in Albania.<\/p>\n

The amount from the 2023 state budget will be distributed to the Muslim Community of Albania, the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, the Catholic Church and the World Bektashi Patriarchate starting from May.<\/p>\n

“The funding measure of 113,000,000 (one hundred and thirteen million) ALL from the 2023 budget, approved to financially support religious communities, is used as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. a) The Muslim community of Albania benefits from the amount of 33,840,000 (thirty-three million eight hundred and forty thousand) ALL, divided into:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    17 040 000 (seventeen million and forty thousand) ALL for financing with half of the minimum budget salary for 71 (seventy one) employees of the administration;<\/p>\n

    1. 16,800,000 (sixteen million eight hundred thousand) ALL for funding with half of the minimum budget salary for 70 (seventy) employees of preschool, pre-university and university education institutions.<\/li>\n
    2. b) The Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania receives the amount of 26,400,000 (twenty-six million four hundred thousand) ALL, divided into:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      13,200,000 (thirteen million and two hundred thousand) ALL for funding with half of the minimum budget salary for 55 (fifty five) administration employees;<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. 13,200,000 (thirteen million and two hundred thousand) ALL for funding with half of the minimum budget salary for 55 (fifty five) employees of preschool, pre-university and university education institutions.<\/li>\n
      2. c) The Catholic Church in Albania receives the amount of 26,400,000 (twenty-six million and four hundred thousand) ALL, divided into:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        9 600 000 (nine million six hundred thousand) ALL for financing with half of the minimum budget salary for 40 (forty) employees of the administration;<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. 16,800,000 (sixteen million eight hundred thousand) ALL for funding with half of the minimum budget salary for 70 (seventy) employees of preschool, pre-university and university education institutions.<\/li>\n
        2. d) The World Bektashian Patriarchate benefits from the amount of 26,360,000 (twenty-six million three hundred and sixty thousand) ALL, divided into:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          6,000,000 (six million) ALL for financing, up to half of the minimum budget salary for 25 (twenty-five) administration employees;<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. 13 360 000 (thirteen million three hundred and sixty thousand) ALL, as a contribution to the construction of Teqe e Shtufi, Gjirokast\u00ebr;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            iii. 7 000 000 (seven million) lek, due to the special position, as the World Patriarchate based in Tirana and the extension of the activity abroad, which will be used to fully or partially cover the preventive requests presented by her in the request of the year 2023, according to the presented financial documentation”, says the Decision approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n
