The lack of labor force is a matter of national concern in Kosovo and elsewhere in the region of the Western Balkan.<\/p>\n
However, contrary to neighboring countries, Kosovo might face an even bigger challenge, with the country set to profit from visa liberalization starting from next year.<\/p>\n
To face this shortcoming, some of the enterprises have started adopting measures previously taken by Japan or other countries with an ever-older population: replacing humans with robots.<\/p>\n
This kind of reorganization cannot replace all employee profiles, but has however, shown results in production and processing factories and warehouses, where the robot makes up for the output of four people.<\/p>\n
Mortar production companies report that since the installation of robots, sales have increased and production has sped up by 40%.<\/p>\n
However, the directors of these companies assure there is no room for panic amongst employees who do not wish to migrate and fear their jobs being cut as the companies are restructured.<\/p>\n
This reorganization could end up being good news to them. With a quick return on investments provided by robots and an increase in profits, there is more room for salary increases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
