Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 said he would not comment on anything after the meeting with representatives of the QUINT countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have made the decision not to say anything about the meeting with representatives of the QUINT countries and the head of the European Union delegation in Serbia. I believe it is better for everyone,\u201d Vu\u010di\u0107 wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday morning, Serbia\u2019s President met with representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany, as well as the head of the EU delegation.<\/p>\n

The meeting took place one day after the Kosovo Police arrested Milun Milenkovi\u0107 Lune in northern Kosovo.<\/p>\n

Kosovo\u2019s Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sve\u00e7la stated that Milenkovi\u0107 was one of the organizers of the attack against KFOR and the Kosovo Police in Zve\u010dan two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Tensions in northern Kosovo have been increasing since May 26th<\/sup> when the Kosovo Police assisted Albanian mayors in taking over municipal facilities, despite the resistance from local residents.<\/p>\n

The tensions reached a peak on May 29th<\/sup> when local Serbs clashed with NATO\u2019s Kosovo mission soldiers, KFOR. Dozens of individuals from both sides were injured in the clashes.<\/p>\n

These mayors were elected on April 23rd<\/sup>, but the elections were boycotted by Serbian parties and the local population.<\/p>\n

The international community has blamed Kosovo for the situation in the north.<\/p>\n

The European Union has prepared initial measures, such as sanctions against Kosovo due to the government\u2019s failure to take immediate steps to reduce tensions in the north, according to diplomatic sources cited by Radio Free Europe.<\/p>\n

These measures will include the suspension of invitations for Kosovo\u2019s participation in high-level events and bilateral visits from the European Union and its member states.<\/p>\n

They have stated that meetings will only take place when necessary to address the crisis in northern Kosovo and find a solution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
