Albania has made progress in politics to reduce inequality between women and men. It is ranked 17th globally, out of 146 countries considered.<\/p>\n
It will take 131 years for the world to achieve gender equality in all areas, including education, politics, health and the economy.<\/p>\n
Equality between men and women, a phenomenon analyzed by the World Economic Forum, shows that globally progress is slow, while many countries have gained or lost points compared to last year.<\/p>\n
Albania, for example, ranks 17th out of 146 taken into consideration for the gap that exists between the two sexes.<\/p>\n
The best position for our country is seen in the economy, where opportunities in the labor market, wages and skills are considered. Next comes representation in politics, schooling at all stages of education and health care. In the region, after Albania, Serbia ranks 38th, Montenegro 69th, North Macedonia 73rd and Bosnia and Herzegovina 86th.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the list of countries with the lowest gender gap is topped by Iceland, Norway and Finland, followed by Algeria, Chad and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
