Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 stated he cannot confirm that \u201cthere is a way out\u201d of the crisis in northern Kosovo.<\/p>\n
He made these comments after a bilateral meeting with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue mediators.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have discussed the issue, the substance, which was inevitable, but what we will see tomorrow on the ground, I don\u2019t know… when we have trucks waiting,\u201d he said, referring to the blockade of Serbian goods trucks at the border with Kosovo.<\/p>\n
EU High Representative Josep Borrell, and EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k held a series of meetings Thursday regarding crisis management. They first met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and later with Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n
So far, no joint meeting has been held between Kurti and Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n
During a previous press conference, Vu\u010di\u0107 said that he would not meet with Kurti because he does not \u201csee a reason for it\u201d.<\/p>\n
Regarding the resolution of the situation in Kosovo, Vu\u010di\u0107 said that he is afraid that \u201ceverything has gone too far\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will continue to talk on a daily basis because peace and stability are crucial, but I warned that Serbs are in a very difficult position and they do not want to endure Kurti\u2019s terror in the way they have been forced to until this moment,\u201d Vu\u010di\u0107 added.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Borrell wrote on Twitter that \u201cconstructive ideas and readiness for compromise are needed to address the ongoing crisis in northern Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth parties are expected to reduce tensions and fulfill their obligations without preconditions,\u201d Borrell wrote on Twitter after the meeting with the Kosovo Prime Minister and at the beginning of the meeting with the Serbian leader.<\/p>\n
