On July 14, the State Election Commission officially announced the results of the parliamentary elections, fulfilling the formal conditions for the start of negotiations on the formation of the government.<\/p>\n
The leader of \u201cEurope Now\u201d and the prime ministerial candidate for the new government Milojko Spaji\u0107 seems to have reached an agreement with the Democratic Front of Aleksa Be\u010di\u0107, excluding the URA Movement of Dritan Abazovi\u0107, which ran together in the general parliamentary elections, with the Bosniak Party, the Croatian Civic Initiative, and two Albanian coalitions for the formation of the government.<\/p>\n
Ambassadors of the United States and the European Union in Montenegro had earlier made it known that the leaders of \u201cFor the Future of Montenegro\u201d coalition, known as pro-Serb and pro-Russian, are not their allies, sending a message not to be part of the governing coalition.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Da\u010di\u0107, stated that it would be bad news if the new government of Montenegro does not include Serbs, who make up about 30 percent of the country\u2019s population.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Politico, he said it would be \u201ca bad message that the negative attitude towards Serbs will continue\u201d.<\/p>\n
Da\u010di\u0107 also emphasized that the visit of the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovi\u0107 to Serbia was very important and took place in the best possible atmosphere.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a long time, we had an important meeting at the highest level, at the level of two presidents, and it was confirmed that Serbia and Montenegro are the closest countries in the region and should remain so. It is important that President Milatovi\u0107, after Brussels, came to visit Belgrade, because it is also a strong signal that our relations are normalizing and that with the political changes in Podgorica, we are getting closer to each other. Bad news would be if the new government of Montenegro does not include Serbs, who make up about 30 percent of the country\u2019s population.
