For the first time in Gjirokast\u00ebr, the Jazz Music Festival titled “Jazz in stone” was organized.<\/p>\n
On a special evening, in the premises of Odeon, in the museum area, well-known names of jazz music such as Jozefina Simoni, AJS Quartet and DJ Pife performed.<\/p>\n
The artistic program of the festival, selected from Albanian and foreign music, attracted the attention of mainly young art lovers and tourists.<\/p>\n
“I wish them much success and I am happy to be part of the first edition of the festival. I wish that everything goes very well and that the festival has as much longevity as possible and that people enjoy us tonight”, says Josefina Simoni, singer.<\/p>\n
“We convey around the world, in all jazz festivals, our Albanian music of all regions adapted to jazz music. What we will bring here is what we have exported, let’s say to the European public in these years, which is our original Albanian music with our typical instruments; saxophone, clarinet, shepherd’s fiddle interwoven with jazz music and a completely new instrument”, says Ermal Rodi, instrumentalist.<\/p>\n
This event aims to become an annual tradition for the stone city.<\/p>\n
