Greece may block aid to Albania if the case for the mayor of Himare, Fredi Beleri, is not resolved. The latter is in custody and has not yet been sworn in to run the municipality.<\/p>\n
Greece sees critically the arrest of Fredi Beleri, the mayor elected by vote in Himara, but who has not taken the oath to run the Municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n According to what the Kathimerini newspaper writes, the Greek authorities say that this process is politically motivated because Albania has violated the right to a fair trial and the presumption of innocence.
