The mountainous part of the Balkan peninsula will be even more attractive to Britons this winter when Ryanair and Wizz Air launch new flights.<\/span><\/p>\n Last month saw the most searches for travel from the UK to Albania since the start of 2022 and searches last month were 58 per cent more than in July a year earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n MailOnline research today has found that the average meal for two in a mid-range restaurant in Albania is just \u00a329 in total, while a beer will cost an average of \u00a31.67.<\/span><\/p>\n The cheapest popular destinations in Albania for a meal seem to be Shkodra and Vlora where two people, according to the Daily Mail, only need to pay \u00a321, while the cheapest place for a beer is Berat at 80 pence.<\/span><\/p>\n Data compiled by cost of living database Numbeo also reveals that Tirana is the most expensive place for a meal out, but it’s still cheap for Brits who have to pay \u00a333 for two.<\/span><\/p>\n Hotels are also very reasonably priced, with Booking.com data showing that hotels in Tirana cost \u00a341 a night for three stars, \u00a360 for four stars and \u00a3116 for five stars.<\/span><\/p>\n Even cheaper accommodation can be found in the picturesque medieval town of Berat, where a three-star hotel costs just \u00a331 a night on average. As high inflation continues to cause a cost of living crisis in Britain, many families are looking for more affordable options when planning holidays abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n Albania is currently enjoying its most successful tourism year to date, having welcomed 3.4 million foreign nationals during the first six months of this year.<\/span><\/p>\n This is a 33 percent increase in 2022, according to the Institute of Statistics.
