The price increase in July was 5%, according to the estimate made by the European Institute of Statistics. At this level, there seems to be a clash of figures, as the Institute of Statistics in Albania produces a lower result, with inflation of 4.2%.<\/p>\n
With the methodology used by Eurostat, the biggest price increase was seen in entertainment and culture, followed by food and other groups.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the average inflation in the European Union was 6.1 percent in July.<\/p>\n
In EU countries, inflation has decreased at a much faster rate than in Albania. The Union faced double-digit price increases last year driven by high energy prices, while in Albania, food-driven price increases have remained stable.<\/p>\n
