The cause of the fire is still unknown. Firefighters are at the scene and are working to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n
The wind and the polystyrene material with which the building was built helped the flames to spread quickly.<\/p>\n
Head of Tirana’s fire department, Shk\u00eblqim Goxhaj, said in a statement to the media that it appears that the fire was on the second floor of the building that caught fire and there are doubts that it may have spread to the terrace, or the opposite.<\/p>\n
Goxhaj clarified that they will be at the scene until the fire is extinguished and the cause of the incident is determined. He emphasized that the fire is nearing going out and they will immediately make sure that there are no injuries or loss of life, while he stated that there is a serious material damage.<\/p>\n
Head of the fire department also has said that such cases in Tirana where the fire cannot be located, but goes from one apartment to another, are very rare.<\/p>\n
