The Ministry of Finance has prepared the draft law that ends the period when the so-called &#8220;VIP&#8221;, &#8220;bloggers&#8221; and &#8220;influential&#8221; earned undeclared money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This category, for the most part, includes domestic individuals who earn from TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The draft is more extensive, as it also includes in taxation individuals who let their properties for daily rent on booking platforms such as Booking and AirBNB, as well as resellers or advertisers, who are paid by online trade platforms such as Amazon and Alibaba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Plan to identify these individuals, according to the new guidance of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, relies on the payments that these companies make to these individuals through bank accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The data show that 17,000 active properties for daily rent operate on the AirBNB platform in Albania, while over 3,500 such properties operate on Booking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Meanwhile, there is no exact number that identifies social media personalities who are rumored to earn staggering sums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">15% tax on this income is intended to be withheld, but even if they escape the first tax sieve, these individuals are obliged to make the payment of the obligation in the annual income statement.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People who earn money from social networks and other online platforms will be taxed at the rate of 15% starting from 2024.
