Ivica Da\u010di\u0107, Serbia\u2019s Foreign Minister, has expressed uncertainty regarding the identity of the individual seen in a video released by Kosovo\u2019s Interior Minister Xhelal Sve\u00e7la. The video in question allegedly features Milan Radoji\u010di\u0107, the deputy chairman of the Serb List. However, Da\u010di\u0107 noted that it is \u201cclear\u201d that the video does not correspond to the day of the attack in northern Kosovo.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no information about whether he [Radoji\u010di\u0107] is in the video or not; I truly don\u2019t know,\u201d Da\u010di\u0107 told Radio Television Serbia on September 26.<\/p>\n
Da\u010di\u0107 believes that the video is a form of \u201cdeception\u201d as it does not align with the timeline of the actual attack.<\/p>\n
Kosovo\u2019s Interior Minister Xhelal Sve\u00e7la published a video on September 26 in which he claimed that Radoji\u010di\u0107 is visible among armed individuals involved in a confrontation with Kosovo Police at the Banjska Monastery in Zvecan on September 24.<\/p>\n
Da\u010di\u0107 remarked, \u201cThey continue to assert that these are criminal groups and potentially freedom fighters. They are freedom fighters too, if that\u2019s the case\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to Da\u010di\u0107, Kosovo is \u201cstriving to provide evidence that Millan Radoji\u010di\u0107 or Zvonko Veselinovi\u0107 were responsible for these actions\u201d.<\/p>\n
Da\u010di\u0107 added, \u201cThey would have preferred to have found [Milan] Mojsilovi\u0107 [the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army] because it would establish a link to Belgrade\u201d.<\/p>\n
He also held Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti accountable as the \u201csole culprit for everything that has transpired\u201d, emphasizing that Belgrade does not condone any acts of violence.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe deeply regret the killing of a police officer, the loss of Serbian lives, and the occurrence of such an incident, which is not in the interest of Serbia,\u201d Da\u010di\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n
In Sve\u00e7la\u2019s video released on September 26, it is asserted that Radoji\u010di\u0107 \u201cled the terrorist group responsible for the attack that resulted in the death of police officer Afrim Bunjaku\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sve\u00e7la reiterated during an interview with Euronews Albania on the same day that the video featuring Radoji\u010di\u0107 was captured by a police drone and that Radoji\u010di\u0107 was located within the premises of the Banjska Monastery.<\/p>\n
Sve\u00e7la claimed that over 30 individuals, led by Millan Radoji\u010di\u0107, participated in the September 24 attack.<\/p>\n
The Serb List, which enjoys support from Belgrade, is the primary political party representing the interests of Serbs in Kosovo. Radoji\u010di\u0107, along with the businessman from northern Kosovo, Zvonko Veselinovi\u0107, who was mentioned by Da\u010di\u0107, is blacklisted by the United States for allegations of corruption and involvement in international criminal activities. They are also associated with the assassination of Serbian opposition politician Oliver Ivanovi\u0107 in northern Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The attack on September 24 involved a group of armed and masked individuals who targeted Kosovo Police in the village of Banjska, resulting in the tragic death of police officer Afrim Bunjaku and several injuries.<\/p>\n
In the ensuing firefight, Kosovo Police neutralized three attackers of Serbian nationality and apprehended six more. On September 25, two additional individuals were arrested in Banjska.
